This is @adaezeinchrist, and this week we are looking at regular medical checkup. This used to be very easy for us to do, but I can't lie now because a lot of people in my country find it very difficult to do now because of the way the country has been turned to. People no longer eat well now and some are already sick because of it, yet they can't afford medical bills. I know is necessary and it is for our own good that we need to go for regular medical checkup and is also my prayers that we all can afford it because in my country is not done for free. You will have to pay heavily before you can get the attention of a medical doctor.
There is this believe that when ever you go to the hospital even when you are not sick, the doctors must find something wrong with you. Some believe that you will end up going home with high blood pressure. This is not sopposed to be so, because regular medical checkup is meant for our good. We need to visit a medical personnel so as to know how our systems work, what we need to do and what we need to eat to improve in any area of our lives. Even before now my people don't take this very serious. They prefer to visit the hospital whenever they fall sick and need medical attention. I believe in prevention is better than cure. We can help ourselves by checking on our health status before something worse will happen to us.
This is something that is seriously needed by all. I just pray that our government will make is free for people to just walk into the hospital and check on themselves, take any medication that they need and walk away without making any payments. This is not too much for the government to do for it's citizens. We need this and is far away from us because we can't afford it. What most people are concerned now is how to feed themselves. Some people get sick and don't even go to the hospital because they do not have the money.
In conclusion, I pray that those in authority will make life easier for people by subsidizing hospital bills. Maybe that will encourage people to go for a regular medical checkup.
