I stayed home with my youngest boys today – yesterday evening my wife and I had already come to the conclusion that there was no point in taking them anywhere. The weather is nice, the mood is good, and a little break from kindergarten mornings will do both them and us good.
After breakfast, before they started thinking about what to do, I took them to the allotment. We had to grab a few laundry items, so we combined business with pleasure. The boys got some fresh air, I sorted out what was needed, and we immediately went to the playground, which we have right next to the allotment. The perfect place to move around a bit as a threesome, swing, climb, laugh.
After a good dose of fooling around, we took a leisurely walk in the park. No rush, no watch, at our own pace. The most exciting thing, of course, were the ducks, which had a bath in the pond. The boys couldn't take their eyes off them.
Then it was time to go home, because the elder and the princess would soon be hungry, and the wife deserved something good after work. Dinner and supper were ready, everyone was fed, the mood was good.
And in the evening? Well-deserved rest. A bit of silence, a bit of laughter, recharging batteries for tomorrow.
I like days like this. Ordinary, but ours.

Z moimi najmłodszymi chłopakami zostałem dziś w domu – już wczoraj wieczorem z żonką doszliśmy do wniosku, że nie ma sensu ich nigdzie ciągnąć. Pogoda fajna, nastroje dopisują, a trochę oddechu od przedszkolnych poranków dobrze zrobi i im, i nam.
Po śniadaniu, jeszcze zanim zaczęli kombinować, co by tu zbroić, zabrałem ich na działkę. Trzeba było zgarnąć kilka rzeczy do prania, więc połączyliśmy przyjemne z pożytecznym. Chłopaki się przewietrzyli, ja ogarnąłem, co trzeba, i od razu ruszyliśmy jeszcze na plac zabaw, który mamy zaraz przy działce. Idealna miejscówka, żeby się trochę poruszać we trójkę, pohuśtać, powspinać, pośmiać.
Po dobrej dawce wygłupów zrobiliśmy sobie spokojny spacer po parku. Bez spiny, bez zegarka, w swoim tempie. Najwięcej emocji wzbudziły oczywiście kaczki, które urządziły sobie w stawie kąpiel. Chłopaki nie mogli oderwać wzroku od nich.
Potem trzeba było wracać do domu, bo starszak i księżniczka zaraz mieli być głodni, a i żonka po pracy zasługiwała na coś dobrego. Obiado-kolacja zrobiona, wszyscy nakarmieni, nastroje dobre.
A wieczorem? Zasłużony odpoczynek. Trochę ciszy, trochę śmiechu, ładowanie baterii na jutro.
Lubię takie dni. Zwyczajne, ale nasze.
