I have talked and will continue to do so in a section of the blog about animals that are harmful to the garden, but there are also many animals that are beneficial to the garden. These are the predators that help us control pests in the most efficient and clean way possible. Our job will be to attract them and respect them so that they can help us get the best harvests.

The woodpecker is undoubtedly an unmistakable bird, not only for its spectacular beauty but also for its sonorous song. It also makes a constant noise when building its home or feeding.
It's not just a great ally of our gardens, as it's primarily a forest bird, but it is a great predator of insects, maintaining the balance of the entire ecosystem, which is why it's so valuable.
For this reason, and because it's the architect of the forest, its abandoned nests provide refuge for many other birds that are essential for keeping pests in our gardens at bay. This is a bird that has suffered greatly in recent years, as mature forests have shrunk, and although the forest cover is increasing, it is still very young, and making a home in those trees is really difficult for woodpeckers.
Thank you very much for supporting my blog and I look forward to your comments.!
