I learned something new about you today @thebighig or should I call you Dr. thebighig. Our children's continuing education and hours requirements are not currently appreciated, considering that we school over the summer and they look longingly out the window on those warm summer days. The up-side is they are on-track to have completed their GED level education by age 14. Doesn't meant much to them now, but it's something they will appreciate when they're older.

Med school here they come! I actually wouldn't encourage kids to go into medicine these days, the system is a mess and getting worse. That's awesome, getting a GED by 14 and start with online college courses when they're ready!

We have no plans to send them away to school, but online classes are always an option. Currently my children aiming at forming a business as a priority and we're already starting something now to get them started. !BBH
Smart, business is where the money is the future. Also engineering. Did you know that more billionaires have a degree in engineering than any other degrees? Not that I would wish being a billionaire on anyone, the stress involved would consume your life!
I wouldn't want the stress of massive wealth on any of my children, but even more I wouldn't want the stress of poverty on them. Money can cause great distress, but if managed well, it can also be a tool to relieve great distress.
I have two second cousins who are billionaires inherited form their father. We used to be friends and talk but the minute they got the money they cut off all family. Money does funny things, but poverty is even worse I agree. Education is very important and teach them that before they pay any bills to first pay themselves and put into savings.
