Greetings to all! Today I'm back with Splinterlands content. These days, I've been suffering a lot playing Modern Ranked. So today, I will take the opportunity to tell you my experience of this last week.

Those of you who have been following my content will know that, in my last post, I mentioned that I achieved one of my main goals: to reach Diamond on the last day of the season. However, with the start of the new one, I was reassigned to Gold 2 with 2300 points.

I was hoping that I was going to start the season destroying my opponents in GOLD, but it was the opposite. I lost some summoner rents and I started fighting in Modern Ranked without them. That affected a lot the result of my battles, so I even lost more than 4 games in a row.
That was not the worst. I was accumulating defeat after defeat until I realized that I was very close to return to Silver. The truth is that this drop was a heavy blow to my Glint and SPS rewards obtained in the last seasons, so I could not afford to keep losing.

In the end I ended up being relegated to Silver I, but managed to return to Gold thanks to a brief streak of three consecutive victories. Since then, I have managed to climb up to Gold II, keeping me away from the risk of falling back down to a lower rank.

During the week, I had taken part in the Guild battles. So I accumulated a considerable amount of Merits to open three Gladius Cases. This was the result of the opening:

In these months of playing, I have accumulated a lot of cards from the Gladiator set. So now I have taken the trouble to level up some of the cards I have in my deck. One of them is the rare Captain Katie card, which I was able to raise to level 2.

Another thing I have had to do this week, is to buy a considerable amount of DEC to be able to rent back some summoners and powerful cards I had. I thought I had ended up renting the same cards as last season, but apparently in the middle, I had a few rentals cancelled and was forced to go out and look for summoners in the high level market.

I would have liked to be able to get high level summoners at an affordable price in DEC. However, for some reason the prices for summoners above level 5 have gone up insanely. Which has forced me to rent lower level cards for a lower DEC amount.
That affects my strategy a bit, because I had cards of various elements at a high level. Now they would lose a considerable amount of improvements in battles.
