Rising Star - I choose one song per day, Daily Rising Star statistics and giveaway of 150,000 starbits - Grand Theft Auto San Andreas Theme Song - Young Maylay

In this space I will be giving away STARBITS, sharing my experience with a song, telling how I discovered it, and providing interesting information about it. Then I will include several tables with statistics of the Rising Star game.

After I finished going through the hundred songs provided by Spotify that I listened to the most in the last year, I have thought of adding songs of my choice from my "Like" list that has more than 1000 songs. The last song I talked about in my last post was: It´s a Man´s, Man´s, Man´s World: James Brown

My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Grand Theft Auto San Andreas Theme Song of the artist Young Maylay.

Much of the musical influence that I have, is thanks to video games that present music either through “stations” or soundtracks that set the title. I can give many cases of how I discovered music thanks to the games, one of them is FIFA, who in its menu had quite interesting songs from artists perhaps not so well known. Another case can also be the soundtrack of The Witcher 3 and Kingdom Come Deliverance, which generate immersion in a medieval era.

But if there is a game that influenced more than the others, that is Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. The game includes at least six stations of different music genres from before 2000. That's where I discovered a lot of pop, disco, country, American rock and hip-hop music. The best of all, is that each station you listen to depending on the area you are in, in rural areas you would get in a car and the radio would play country and ranch music, when you got in a car in a poor neighborhood, it would automatically tune to a Gangsta Rap radio.

One of the most incredible things, is the introduction to the game where we can listen to a song describing “The Saints” and all the things we can do. The most impressive thing is that the artist of the song is the same one that gives the voice to Carl Johnson in the game: Young Maylay.

Young Maylay is a voice actor and artist who has made several appearances in the Grand Theft Auto saga. He lent his voice to the main protagonist in GTA San Andreas and sang in its theme song.

The new format will be similar to the one we used some time ago, using the Hive Tools application.
