In this space I will be giving away STARBITS, sharing my experience with a song, telling how I discovered it, and providing interesting information about it. Then I will include several tables with statistics of the Rising Star game.
After I finished going through the hundred songs provided by Spotify that I listened to the most in the last year, I have thought of adding songs of my choice from my "Like" list that has more than 1000 songs. The last song I talked about in my last post was: Otra piel: Gustavo Cerati
If you leave me now: Chicago
My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is If you leave me now of the group Chicago. The other day I was listening to music on Spotify and I happened to listen to a playlist of 70's/80's/90's Pop hits. By the end of the playlist, I've gotten used to seeing Spotify's recommendations, usually one out of every five songs, I usually like, so that's how I found If you leave me now by Chicago.
When I listened to the song, I recognized it in the first seconds, it was a classic that I had heard many times on the radio, but as it always happens to me, I didn't know the artist or the name of the song.
Chicago, is an emblematic band of the United States. It was formed in 1967, in Chicago, Illinois, under the name of “Chicago Transit Authority”. Their first album "Chicago Transit Authority" was released in 1969 and was a great success, with songs such as “Saturday in the Park”.
"If you leave me now" is part of the album “Chicago X” which was released in 1976 and was also a resounding success. It has 500 million plays on the Spotify platform.
