In this space I will be giving away STARBITS, sharing my experience with a song, telling how I discovered it, and providing interesting information about it. Then I will include several tables with statistics of the Rising Star game.
After I finished going through the hundred songs provided by Spotify that I listened to the most in the last year, I have thought of adding songs of my choice from my "Like" list that has more than 1000 songs. The last song I talked about in my last post was: Break Ya Neck: Busta Rhymes
Twinz (Feat Fat Joe): Big Pun
My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Twinz of the artists Big Pun and Fat Joe. I was exploring the hip-hop recommendations that Spotify was giving me, so I stopped to listen to “Twinz” by Fat Joe and Big Pun, artists that I didn't know from anywhere. It only took me ten seconds to listen to the base and recognize the base of the track, it sounded like something Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg had used in the song “Deep Cover”. My memory didn't fail me, Twinz uses the same base of Deep Cover, however, it follows the story they told in the original version with new lyrics. I liked the new version, so I didn't hesitate to add it to my “Like” list. Anyway I think this version of the song, does not surpass the artwork of Deep Cover by Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg.
Big Pun was born in 1971 in the Bronx, New York. He grew up in a family of Puerto Rican descent in the South Bronx, an area marked by poverty and gang violence. In 1998, he released Capital Punishment, his debut album, with hits such as Still Not a Player and Twinz (Deep Cover '98).
Fat Joe is a rapper of Puerto Rican and Cuban descent from the New York Bronx. He rose to fame thanks to his participation in the band Terror Squad thanks to songs like Lean Back.
Before giving the winner of this night's drawing. The new format will be similar to the one we used some time ago, using the Hive Tools application. However, the application didn't always work, so this time we will be using a Discord bot that is in charge of returning a winner from among all the comments on a Hive post.
