My son had some kopper treated pine logs that were used for some garden edgeing at his place. They didn't like them and were going to take them to the dump.
Even though they were like 20 years old plus, they seemed too good just to throw away.
I did a quick google and thought a green waste recycling box might come in handy in our yard.
So after picking them up from his place, I cut them into 700 and 900 mm lengths with a chain saw.
They came with rusty threaded brooker rods, which held them into the ground like stakes. I redrilled 10mm holes at the end and corners to pin them all in place with the brooker rod.
Worked out better than I thought. Just need to see if I can consistently fill it with leaves and twigs and wait for it to compost down a bit before adding to our garden beds.
This and a few other chores around the yard, along with my fitness workouts, help build my 20k activity report.
