I live naked and barefooted, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i, and I have for more than 5 years now. Although there are many challenges, I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙
Warm greetings all! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
I've always been a being of immense multiplicity in pretty much everything, with diverse and often contrasting passions, purposes, misions, and capacities, which carries over into pretty much everything that I do, both online, and in my daily life. I'm an in-betweener, living and working on the edge (the edge is where the magic happens), connecting and bridging startlingly different perspectives, worlds, and domains. This trait carries over even to how I connect and work with sovereignty and community-driven technology, social networks, platforms, and blockchains. I've always had my hands in many cookie jars, and my feet in many ponds.
Sometimes I discover certain things like Hive or Arch Linux, that absolutely enthrall me, which make me want to dive in deep, learn well, explore the potential, and to use as a framework for building, creating, and growing truly amazing possibilities. This is very much the case with Hive, which 'clicked' for me pretty much as soon as I arrived here and began orienting myself in this exceptional Blockchain Ecosystem. Hive fit me like a lock and key, and I took to it like a duck to water, becoming ever-more passionate, committed, dedicated, and all-in for the long haul the longer that I've been here.
I'm an explorer, experimenter, and tinkerer by nature, so I'm always trying out new things, and if what I find in my explorations is very interesting to me, I'll dive in deep, to come to know it well, and then I'll integrate it into my multifaceted life, and my kaleidoscopic array of other passions, often engendering novel connections, dynamics, and combinations, which fascinates and entralls me all the more. I'm also quite discerning, picky, and selective, however, and as such there are all sorts of things that seem to strongly engage other people, but which have zero interest for me at all. I'm a curious creature for sure.
The most important principles for me, in any context, are sovereignty, autonomy, self-determination, self-reliance, self-sufficiency, freedom, do-it-yourself, self-empowerment, as well as mutual-beneficiality, and the like, and because of that, even my choice of the technology that I use, or the social dynamics, networks, and systems, in with which I choose to interact and engage, must also be in alignement, or I want little to nothing to do with them. It's for that very reason that open-source, community-driven, and decentralized/distributed frameworks are so deeply essential for me.
I talk about sovereignty-driven technology all the time, and for good reason, as most people seem to have little to no idea at all about how such technologies are different from the typical enslaving sorts of technologies with which they are familiar, or why they are so important. I'll educate, as long as there is actual interest. While Hive is my web3 blockchain home, having a presence on other sovereignty and community-driven platforms and blockchains is also very important for me. Aside from Hive, I'm present as well, and at least somewhat active, on Bastyon, Qortal, sometimes DeSo, and I am just getting started with the Voi blockchain ecosystem, with Blurt, and now also Nostr. Maximum Mutual Benefit directs, guides, and orients my actions and choices, and in any framework where I find myself, so as I root and grow in these different yet related community-based and driven ecosystems, I'll work for the good of all of us, no matter where we each choose to call 'home'.
Yesterday, Friday, I left the Flow House, after finishing my Hive tasks, around 2:30PM, focusing first on some photography for these posts. Once I was satisfied with my batch of photos, I went to sunbathe on the trampoline in the Peanut Lawn for a short while, after which I went to work in my nursery, repotting and up-potting various tropical fruit trees that I had grown from seed. Once I went as far as I could with the pots that I had available, I cleaned up, then I made myself some food (spiced and seasoned mini beef patties, with pepperjack cheese, and mixed mustards) in the Landing, and with that and my jar of leftover superfood fire coffee in hand, I headed back to the Flow House, to dive into my evening Hive tasks, and to catch up on my notifications. I had a lot again, so I wasn't able to get through them all before I had to stop to do some asset management, and then go to bed, around 12AM. I woke up just before 6AM, having slept fairly well, doing more asset management, starting on this post, and then getting out of bed around 8:30AM to go make my superfood fire coffee in the Landing, before returning to the Flow House to write this post. It's now just before 2PM, so a really good time to end this post, so that I may get to my few other important Hive tasks, before leaving the Flow House a bit later in the afternoon, to first focus on photography for these posts, straining and blending kefir (kefir-honey-cinnamon-cacao), and then community/land work. I deeply appreciate y'all so very much! Until my entry for the Reflection Hunters Contest later this evening, and the next version of this post tomorrow! Always forward, onward, upward, and whaleward, ho, together we go! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
2025 Life Goals
1.) Do regular integral practices again, alone or with others.
2.) Prepare regular batches of my medicinal teas collected from the land again.
3.) Make my plant nursery, and the gardens, beautiful again.
4.) Begin learning relevant coding/programming languages to more fully contribute to the sovereignty-driven technologies where I am active, like Arch Linux, Hive, Qortal, DeSo, and Bastyon.
All photos were taken with my Motorola G Play 2024 Android Phone.
Thank you all so much who have helped me get to where I am today, and allowing me to share more of the beauty and magic from my life and my world with you, and for your continuous appreciation and support! I am truly deeply grateful! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
