I'm lying on my bed right now because I'm having severe cramps and can't do anything else. I've cried my eyes out and my face is all puffy from the pain but more from the movie I just finished watching.
I felt like I needed to write this right now because the movie is still fresh, the emotions and everything is still raw and I wouldn't have to think too much.
My friend posted this movie on her Instagram story and she said it just came out and she would highly recommend it. Well since it was coming from her, I knew it would be a blast, and yes! I love Daniel Etim Effiong and as long as he's a cast in any movie, imma watch it.
I downloaded it on Saturday and decided to watch it this evening and it was sooooo beautiful.

My Honest Review
A Broken Hallelujah is a movie about faith, trust,love, patience, commitment. Can you really stay and hold your head up high when the road gets tough? Do you only praise God when he does things for you and when you're stuck you lose faith and give up?
Just imagine you've finally gotten all you've been asking God for and then you look around and there's this one thing you feel you're deserving of , that one thing that you think would complete your life but it's not forthcoming.
It's easy to say hold onto God, he will definitely surprise you, but very hard for many to do so.
I cried a lot while watching this movie because it was so real, the emotions, the faith, the belief, and the actors! Oh my goodness, they did a stellar job.
I'm not one to give a movie a 10/10 rating, but for this one I think I might.....
I think everything about this movie was superb. You know how these YouTube movies always goes, I wasn't expecting anything too serious, just the normal storyline but this one caught me off guard,I think I'm talking too much but let's really talk about the movie....

About the Movie
A Broken Hallelujah is about a couple who have been married for over seven years but without a child. Dia and Dia have been friends since they were little. They've always had a crush on each other, but it became more intense when Dia finally came back from her National youth service. The two grew closer with time and started dating.
- Few months after Didi's shop was burnt to the ground by some thugs, so he had to travel to Lagos for a greener pasture leaving Dia behind. Well unlike what I had expected, he came back for her and they got married. His business grew and everything was working fine for them until years had passed and she still hadn't conceived.
Everything started to fall apart, their marriage,faith in God , love, faith in one another, their friendship was hanging on a thread.
Their beautiful marriage wasn't so beautiful at all, pressure from her in-law and society to have a child, she lost herself while looking for that one thing.
Like they say,* God's time is the best
Pssssss..... Okay so just a little advice.. "Get you a partner who can pray, hold your hands, hold onto you, feel your pains, share in your joy, someone who's emotionally intelligent and values you regardless".
