This week, I’m embarking on a little experiment: posting every day. It’s a simple routine, but it keeps me grounded and connected, even on those days when the world seems a bit off balance.
Losing someone dear leaves an indelible mark on your heart, no matter when it happens. Even though I had a chance to grieve during the palliative journey, the loss hit deeper than I expected. The process of dealing with the illness and the endless cycle of funerals over the past few years has taught me a powerful lesson: healing takes time, and every day is a new opportunity to honor that journey.
In the midst of it all, I strive to stay strong for my family. We all have our moments where tasks seem impossible, if only a few magical gnomes could take over, right? But I’ve learned to approach each challenge one mindful step at a time. Much like a yoga practice, where each pose builds upon the last, I remind myself that life, too, is about finding balance and taking deep, steady breaths.
This morning, I woke up a bit too early and, despite a hectic weekend and a busy vacation, I managed to find a moment of calm through a few sun salutations. It’s a reminder that even on days tinged with a touch of melancholy, we can choose to find light and joy. I’ve come to appreciate that keeping in touch with the people who matter—be it through this community or with loved ones, is essential, as the world continues to spin beautifully around us.
It is all sbout taking life day by day, celebrating small victories, and finding solace in a good yoga flow or whatever works for you. Every new sunrise offers a chance to heal, to be grateful, and to connect more deeply with ourselves and those we cherish.
