This is the shell of Chremistica ochracea which is one of the insect species included in the cicadidae family, insects that are later widely known as cicadas with their distinctive sounds in the wild, this shell is real evidence of the results of perfect metamorphosis that turns them into graceful insects with a distinctive metallic green color, before they metamorphose into beautiful insects this species is underground for the early stages of life and when the time comes they come to the surface at night to turn into insects and leave the shell where they metamorphose.

I feel lucky because I found them on the papaya stem that I am cultivating, from this finding I concluded that in my plantation and precisely underground there are many species of Chremistica ochracea that are still in the larval phase, although they have graceful colors and distinctive sounds when they are adults, but the larval phase worries me because they eat various plant roots to survive, hopefully the Chremistica ochracea larvae have a little empathy for the roots of my papaya plants hheee.

the most prominent and interesting thing about the shell that I just found is a small hole on the back of the insect, the results of my observations show that adult insects come out through the small hole, it looks very natural and so far I have not received specific information about the process of them making small holes in their bodies, I wonder if the hole breaks itself like an egg? or does it have another method that makes them have to endure extreme pain so that they can turn into adult insects, I really don't understand about the process, if you have specific information about the process, I really hope you can share your understanding here.
