I can drink coffee so fast that I think I don't even have time to read the page of a book, it must be hot, in a porcelain, ceramic or clay cup is much better.

I'm not the one who wakes up in the morning thinking about coffee and I can really go a few days without drinking it, does that mean I don't love coffee? I really don't think so...

Embracing a cup of coffee to warm my hands on cold days while I perceive its aroma is a delight that I don't need every day, first because in a tropical country not every day is cold, second because sometimes it makes me want chocolate, tea or hot water with lemon. Besides, I don't always want to drink something hot and for me coffee must necessarily be hot.

Coffee is such a good friend that it doesn't need to be my only best friend.

I like to drink strong black coffee when I have the flu or a headache, when I need to recharge my energy a bit or when I am simply tempted by its aroma unexpectedly.

However, there is a way of drinking coffee that I find really irresistible and when that idea comes to my mind it makes my mouth water, in these cases I don't care if the coffee has cooled down a bit, I still enjoy it as long as the first sips have been at a very high temperature.

I am talking about...

Cheese Empanadas served with coffee with milk, this is the glory, the salty taste of cheese nuanced with a sweet coffee with milk, all in the mouth at the same time.

I understand that for some it may be unpleasant but the truth is really delicious, I love many mixtures of sweet and salty, I perceive that they complement each other perfectly.

In this same sense, adding a pinch of salt to the coffee with milk also enhances its flavor, the one you see in the picture has a touch of salt and a dash of vanilla, it was almost perfect, the only thing missing was that the coffee was a little stronger, but I still enjoyed it very much, even when it was lukewarm if it merges with the flavor of the empanada, nothing else is missing.

Sweet and salty, delicious! but, sweet and sweet?

Also!

From my point of view, only coffee achieves these perfect combinations.

Although it is not in my daily life, coffee is an important part of my life, I would not like to live in a world without coffee, but the truth is that I don't want coffee to be my world either.
