It's finally Caturday and my brief day off began after work hours. I planned a trek to the neighborhood pharmacy / mini grocery for some important purchases. I managed to walk some more to the mini mall near me. Unfortunately, it's closing time so I could only manage to buy bread from the ground floor. I didn't get to go to the food court on the third floor as the escalators were turned off already. Instead, I bought some takeout from the neighborhood 7-11.
Wow it's been a week since I started my experimental daily walking exercise. I suppose it's time to assess how it has been. First, it feels good to see my weekly summary has some data. 😅 I'd admit I took for granted that I could actually track my daily movement. Did it help my mobility issue at all? Well, honestly, I still need a cane to move around. I still feel pain esp. when I push myself too much. I did research and read up whether my daily walking exercise would be helpful for my condition. Apparently, it does. It's just been a week so that's too early to come to a conclusion, right? I will need more data and be more consistent if I'd want some more permanent result. Plus, I imagine being mindful of my diet and adding acupuncture therapy would truly help more. 🙏❤️💡 I'm a work in progress and this is an ongoing commitment.

I suppose this is the main reason why I keep noticing substandard work or services around. It's like when folks do the work for the sake of pay or for the sake of doing it. They lack the care and commitment in what they do. I'm happy to say that throughout my working career, I've never let myself stop caring about what I do. If I'm not happy anymore, I'd move or do something else. I remember Mom used to tell me, "Find a job you love and you'll never have to work a day in your life." I think she loved her teaching job that it made her sad when she finally had to retire. #sadtruth
Caturday Feature
Hot summers tend to make me look back to the days when Mom had her sitting bench outside. This was left behind by a former neighbor. That was when the building was strictly residential. Here Mom enjoys sitting outside with Mini right beside her. We truly enjoyed the time with the OG cats.
Here's another look back when there were no online selling merchants in the building. See that open space? I truly miss those days. Mowe sat with Mom too. She's another one of the OG cats who grew up in the building.
See that open space? The kitties enjoyed more open hallway spaces. I totally prefer that too. I'd rather be surrounded by more kitties than more humans. 😅 Humans need to learn more from cats. 😹 #justmytwocents

Last weekend in April and it ends in four days. Wow! I sure hope that forecast for hotter weather would be wrong. It's just a forecast and as far as weather is concerned, nothing is set in stone. 😂 So please send some rain my way... 🌧☔️

It's a wrap. I must admit I almost skipped my post for today. Glad for the extra energy that kicked in so I was motivated to share some thoughts today. I hope you are enjoying your weekend wherever you are. Nighty night from Manila. Ta-tah! 👋
