Hello Friends, and Welcome Back, and thank you for your visit!

This is #wednesdaywalk #14 of 2025, and for this week I took a bike ride over to the Park - "again"!
The Spring here is just too beautiful to waste - #aliveandthriving time!
I went on the Green bike as it is becoming a "hanger queen"!

Along the drive to the Park on the North side the Cactus are all blooming! And there is quite a bit!

I then went over to the back next to the Breeding Pond and saw this Willet,

It was keeping an eye on me and not being very active,

So I decided after awhile to leave it alone and move on.

There was not much going on and I figured it was time to leave. I was riding down the road out of the Park and I saw this bird,

I said to myself, that is a very small Heron - and that it is!

I got a little closer and could not help but notice the color and size, "small". It was about half the size of a normal Heron of any kind.

At this point, the Heron was on to me and stopped,

At this point it jumped out of the water and into the air! I am sorry the photo was not better, but honestly I was a little surprised when it jumped and was happy to get anything!

When I got home I used Google lens to be sure what it was and it is a "Tri-Colored Heron"! A little more rare than the other Herons here for sure, and they get about 2 feet / 60.96 centimeters tall, much smaller as well!

And that was it for this Wednesday!
I want to thank you again for your visit and wish you a Very Blessed, Happy, and Safe Week!
