A few years ago, I made a little garden around our country home😊
The idea of planting the garden wasn't a welcome idea from my people. Their objections came from the fact that the community has a lot of goats and other domestic animals who freely move about. These animals destroy everything planted in the community in search of their food. There were often cases of people fighting each other because of animals destroying their crops.
The determination to have the garden was very strong in me. So I cut sticks and made a fence around the garden and my crops were growing very well without distractions. The goats and other domestic animals were unable to access the garden. So, they were unable to damage and destroy my garden. Gladly, I was happy about my garden.
One day, when I had thought that I had overcome every predator in my farm, I woke up to discover that some of my tender maize plants had been destroyed by some rodents. 😠 What! I was very angry. I tried to poison the rodents by adding rat poison to some grains and scattering them in the garden. That didn't work. They kept destroying the garden as the days go by.
Then I remembered that we had a rat trap in the house. I set the trap for it but it appeared to be smarter than me. But then the day came. I hooked it!
How did it happen? I was passing the garden and I saw the rodent. It ran and I pursued it. It entered a hole. I then set my trap in the entrance of the hole. I knew that it will come out. And finally, the troubler of my garden was trapped and hooked.😃
