Happy Friday, y'all amazing people!
Do you remember one of my previous posts about our Christmas Day adventure to Mount Olis in Atok, Benguet? Well, today I'm sharing the next part of our trip, and that's a visit to the incredible Northern Blossom Flower Farm, also in Atok. It was a stunning day, the kind of day that makes you want to spontaneously break into song. The sun was shining, but there was this lovely cool breeze, typical of the mountains, that kept things perfectly pleasant. We were up early, leaving our home in San Juan, La Union, at 6 AM. We decided to hire a car, much easier than trying to manage Boomer on those winding mountain roads. He's a big dog, and those roads are not exactly known for being smooth! The drive was pretty long, especially after our visit to Mount Olis. But the scenery was beautiful with rolling hills, lush greenery, and glimpses of distant mountains. It was the perfect setting for an adventure, and we were all buzzing with excitement for what awaited us at Northern Blossom.
Okay, so you're probably wondering who was most excited about Northern Blossom. It was Boomer, our German Shepherd, hands down! This dog was practically bouncing off the walls before we even got there. As soon as we arrived, he took off exploring, sniffing every single flower and giving every tourist the friendliest tail wags you've ever seen. Honestly, he was surprisingly well-behaved for a big, energetic dog. The only thing that slowed us down was the crowd. It was a super popular day at Northern Blossom, absolutely packed with people. Boomer's enthusiasm, while adorable, meant we had to walk at a more leisurely pace to avoid any accidental collisions, and to make sure he didn't get too overwhelmed.
Despite the crowds, Northern Blossom was absolutely incredible. I mean, the place is enormous! You walk and walk, and there are just endless rows of flowers in every color imaginable. It's like something out of a dream. All these vibrant colors against the backdrop of these amazing mountains and fluffy white clouds. The weather was perfect too! Sunny, but not too hot, with a really refreshing breeze. It was one of those moments where you just feel completely blown away by the beauty of nature. I didn't expect it to be so amazing, and it completely exceeded my expectations eventhough it was already my second time visiting the place. Boomer, despite his size, managed to navigate the crowds with surprising grace. He charmed everyone he met, his enthusiastic tail wags and gentle nature winning over even the grumpiest tourist. He was, without a doubt, the star of the show, posing for countless photos and accepting head scratches with the grace of a seasoned celebrity.
We spent ages wandering around those flower fields. It was so much fun! We took tons of photos, and Boomer's goofy grin, the bright colors of all the flowers, the amazing mountain views, and those fluffy clouds just drifting by. Every picture is like a little memory, you know? It reminds me of how beautiful everything was and how much fun we had as a family. It's amazing how a simple day like that can create so many wonderful memories. We were laughing and taking silly pictures, and just enjoying each other's company. It was perfect.
Northern Blossom isn't your average tourist spot; it's something really special. It's a place where you can escape the everyday hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature, and make memories that will stay with you forever. Plus, you get to see the sheer joy of a big, fluffy dog exploring a field of flowers. It's amazing! You should absolutely go to Northern Blossom if you haven't been there yet. It's a unique and unforgettable experience.
Until our next adventure, my friends! Have a lovely day to you all!
