Agriculture is one of the most important activities in the society and it helps and contributes to all people around the World.
For today's travel blog, I will take you to one of the agricultural place here in Manticao, Misamis Oriental and this is Linangga Agricultural farm land. Here in the Philippines, most of the valuable crops can be seen, found and planted here are coconuts. Linangga Manticao is located at the Province of Misamis Oriental particularly in the Municipality of Manticao. Here, thousands of coconuts found here in different place of Manticao and this is one of the most valuable and important plants here. Linangga farm is quite far in crowded and urbanized place like Houses, Commercial establishments and Schools but it can easily accessible by different kinds of vehicles here like trucks, private cars and even motorcyles because of the Barangya road.
Linangga farm is not only good for any valuable crops and coconuts, it is also a perfect place to raised farm animals like Cows, Carabaos, Chickens and Goats. Grass is good for any farm raising animals and aside of that, a plain and wide place here at the said Farm. There are approximately 50 Cows, 20 goats and Hundreds of chickens can be seen here and some of it are already sell to the Market place. This kind of activities is very perfect to all farmers who lives here and a good kind of business.
Tall trees, wild plants and wild animals can also be seen here. Most of the hard wood native trees grows here are Molave, Germilina and even Mahogany trees. It keeps the place always cool and relaxing because of its shady areas. One of the most exciting stories behind of this place, is that this areas was also once owned by Native people. Backed many centuries ago when this area is owned by Native people and the place was once a massive forestry areas. One of the hardest trees that native people used that time is the molave tree, in fact there are lots of young and old molave trees can be seen here. This forestry area was once a medical areas were Doctors that day came here and gave a medical attention to all native people here in this place. But now, it is already covered with thick grasses, trees and twigs.
Even this place is located across the river, still the motorcycles and trucks can be accessible here because of this undonated road trail. This road was excavated lastyear so the heavy equippements owned by Electric cooperative can get in here. The road is excavated using Scripper and filled with lots of sands and peebles. Biker and riders who came from far places loves to went here riding their bicycles and motorcycles. The road is surrounded with lots of young coconut plants.
About 13 hectares of land are filled with lots of coconut plants. Every Two Months, harvesters and land owners harvested and gathered almost 9,000 of coconut fruits that can be sell to the Market place. But the most fascinating stories about this place is that, this wide areas were lots of coconuts can be seen was once a wide Corn filled owned by Native People. Here in this place, according to the elders it surronded with houses made of light materials owned by the first people who lives here. It is surrounded with lots of trees that day and they hunt for food at the forestry areas near at the field.
Banana plants is also good in here because of the fertile soil at the place. Almost 25 young banana plants are already planted here and some of it are at the slope areas at ths hill. The place is continously developed and turned into a farm land were not only Coconuts and farm raising animals but also for banana plantations. A progressive and productive place that helps everyone especially those Farmers living here in Linangga Farm land.
At the middle of the farm land is the big hole cause by tornado hit way back year 1995. Tornado struck here creating this big hole and as many years has past, the big hole at the ground is continously covered with lots of grass and grown big trees. Some people wants to visit the place and see how fascinating this big hole and it creates of streams connecting to the river.
This place was once a living areas of the tribe leader of Native people, a big house was once built here and it is located near at the river. But now, it is completely filled with grass and some big trees leaving this cool and relaxing areas because of its shade. Camping trips is truly perfecf here because of the plain and wide areas.
Native Cemetery:
This area was once a Native cemetery and it found at the slope areas of the hill. There are some big stones half buried and it was used to indicates the burial areas. Archeologist retrived those bones including some artifacts like pots, vase and a few hunting materials and sharp stones. Now, it is already an open field and the ground is filled with lots of grass perfect for farm raising animals like goats.
Linangga Farm land is not an ordinary farm land, but it covers a great stories about the old civilations of all people who first lived in here, and it includes a historical one. Thank you for stopping by to my post, have a nice day to everyone.
