Each week I run down the new things going on with the hive blockchain including some of my own personal goals and thoughts.
The hive blockchain is one of the best blockchains in terms of social media and rewards. It's one of the greatest blockchains to also get eye balls and support for your project as you'll be able to blog about your project as you build it and improve it giving you the ability to gain support of the overall hive blockchain through their votes on your articles.
Hive also offers a high throughput of transactions while having a no fee blockchain. That means by having powered up hive itself you get free transactions on chain depending on how much hive you have powered up.
What's New On Hive
This week has seen some cool social media improvements from the InLeo with their updated threadcast option. This update shows active threadcasts which are live broadcasts happening on the top of the UI. These live broadcasts however take place on other platforms like X.
The big benefit of using a threadcast however is the ability to see a live feed from your audience and reward your audience with an vote for those asking good quality questions and comments. A great way to give back to your loyal fans and it's all done right here on hive!
Now a cool way I've seen this used is through live streams such as Twitch so there's no reason to limit yourself to simply X and can be used for many other live features you might be doing.
The Gaming Space
Now I wasn't expecting much to be honest on this front simply because it's the week before Christmas. So let's instead recap some new projects from last week and what we can expect in early 2024.
A new game released into beta called Rise of The pixels which won't cost you all that much to get started. For myself I picked up a Licenses for $8 and a few packs for $3 each. This lower entry cost is something I like with new games as it gets more people involved into the beta but still have some skin in the game.
Splinterlands has no new updates either yet but come the first week of the new year Jan 9th I expect some big updates we might even get it on Jan 2nd in the form of airdrop wagons being implemented into the game. A big plus for me since I don't do all that much battling myself at the moment and mainly focus on land and building everything up there.
I have big hopes for Splinterlands and think 2024 is going to be a huge year for the game with potential to crush the last bull run the game had. The teams really pulling together to return value to the governance SPS token and implement some big new updates to the game that simply just make sense.
Goals
My goals for early 2024 are to get at least one node up and running. That first node is either going to be for Hive or hive-engine. But by the end Q1 I want to have Hive, Hive engine, 3pseak nodes up and running. I'll also explore Splinterlands nodes and VCS node.
Outside of that my other goals will remain the same but we will to a start of the new year recap on that and explore possible areas to focus on for 2024.
