Hello dear community,
We have a lamp outside with a motion detector that kept going on and off again a few days ago. Only for a few seconds at a time, and again and again.
As usual, nothing was visible outside. So I wanted to switch off the motion detector and removed the lamp, as it is integrated in the lamp.
But how do you turn it off? It wasn't that clear, because the way one of the controls was positioned, I would have thought it should be off.
Well, first I looked for instructions. My father was there looking and while I was searching, he was there fiddling and looking.
Suddenly there was a tiny little spider (ahhh I hate spiders, I have a bit of a phobia).
It had crawled out of the lamp and was probably the culprit. As the spider was inside the lamp, it was able to trigger the motion detector.
Now the lamp is back in place without the spider and so far I haven't noticed it going on and off again.
But I do want to switch off the motion detector, but only when the solar lamp is in place. Then we'll save a few watts a year ;)

Hallo liebe Community,
wir haben draußen eine Lampe mit einem Bewegungsmelder, die vor einigen Tagen mal wieder ständig an und wieder aus ging. Immer nur für wenige Sek. Und das immer wieder.
Dabei war wie immer draußen nichts zu sehen. Daher wollte ich den Bewegungsmelder abschalten und habe die Lampe abgebaut, da dieser in der Lampe integriert ist.
Aber wie muss man den aus machen? So eindeutig war es nicht, denn so wie der eine Regler stand, hätte ich gedacht, es müsste aus sein.
Naja habe dann erst mal eine Anleitung gesucht. Mein Vater war dabei und hatte mit geschaut und während ich am Suchen war, war er da am Hantieren und gucken.
Auf mal war da eine winzig kleine Spinne (ahhh ich hasse Spinnen, habe eine kleine Phobie).
Dir war da aus der Lampe gekrochen und vermutlich war sie der Übeltäter. Da die Spinne innen drin in der Lampe unterwegs war, konnte sie den Bewegungsmelder auslösen.
Nun ist die Lampe wieder ohne Spinne angebracht und bisher hatte ich nicht mitbekommen, dass diese wieder an und aus gegangen wäre.
Aber an sich will ich doch den Bewegungsmelder ausstellen, aber erst, wenn die Solarlampe angebracht ist. Dann sparen wir ein paar Watt im Jahr;)
