So last January, I ended up with a big box of carpenter pencils. These were unused and saved from the trash pile.
I sold the pencils in bundles of 15 to 120 per pack. I used an online site for the auction and sales. Fees and shipping are pretty steep, but the pencils are easy to store and pack. I ended up with 105 sales during the year for $1,535.48 gross. After shipping and auction fees, I netted $448.81.
Overall, this is a pretty good return and I saved more than 100 pounds of pencils from heading to the landfill.
I am almost through with the entire inventory of pencils. Fortunately, I am about to start a new auction with some collectibles that were given to me.
So what did you scrap this week? Let me know in the comments and let's all recycle, upcycle and win!
