It is not too long, I think 18 year's or so, we were on our playground, doing that game that each player has to lift up their left or right leg, to match with the opponent, and this game, I was very good at it, because, I always do the timing very well, and know which side of the leg my opponent will lift up.
I recalled many people saying, they were not ready to play with me, if nobody else was there to play with them, they will just have to called it a day, but I wonder if it was a crime that I win many times 😁
So, while i was at the playground, she came with few lanterns, honestly, it was my first time seeing something of that nature, so, when she came into the compound, I greeted her, and was still observing foul play in the game for my friends, because it was the duty I was told to do.
So, the woman asked me of my parents, I replied that they are inside the house, and then, i went in and called them, as I got to the parlour, I saw my Dad, then told him that a visitor was outside.
He came out to meet with her, and that was when I left, but the joy from the device brought me back to the place. I touched it, and it was looking like an egg, my great scream make my mom and my siblings to come out of the house.
Dad asked me to choose one of the lanterns, and i took the one that looks like an egg, she told us that it was rechargeable, also, it has a place where battery can be insert.
As it was my first time of seeing a lantern like that, "asked me if i was able to sleep through out that night?
Honestly, i was not, i was looking at the lantern for a very long time, each time I wanted to sleep, the excitement of the light from the lantern that was pointing everywhere in the house will wake me up, and my siblings were not able to sleep either, I guessed we all watched the lantern that night 😁😁
We used to hear something like that in places like Lagos, and as it gets to where we were, it was making for a beautiful day.
I talked to my friends about it, and after school, some of them wanted to see it, and I still recalled the excitement when I switched it on, and they see the light that was coming out.
After then, few years time, that lantern became rampant, we were able to see it in market's, and many stores around us. The deal is, we do not get that excitement anymore on seeing it, it's now a normal thing, even when the ones we see are modernize than that we bought.
I have understand that beautiful stuff's are made everyday, so we should take it kindly with the ones we see today, because tomorrow will be better than this.
