Welcome! I hope you are having a good one. Coming up with something to write about is not really an issue for me. I can talk about many different things I worked on or what I did today, which was actually a fair bit while taking care of one of the kids.
But no, I will not share my new LED setup for my computer I set up today, or the other LED and PC related stuff, or the countless games added to the gaming collection in anticipation for the coming gaming series, or how I fixed up 2 of my printers today like a real print god. No, instead, I will be talking about how I am going to be using AI in all my blog posts.
Sorry for the clickbait-ish title. Don't hate the player, hate the game. With all that being said, I am not going to be using AI to write content. I am just not the best with spelling, punctuation, or grammar, so after I finish writing up my blog post, I will feed it through my custom AI (more on that below) to make it better so maybe my blog posts will not be as hard or unpleasant to read.
Custom AI
Above, I mentioned a custom AI. Now, it is nothing crazy, and it is also available for free. I sort of did this thing a while back with poe.com, another AI provider, and I made a custom bot for the SGS stacking community. There was initial backlash, but that was due to some misunderstanding on the bot's usage. It was made to answer precious metal related questions, not make blog content.
Anyway, it was nothing crazy back then, and it is more of the same now. This custom bot I made is with Google's Gemini, and they call them Gems. You can pick ready-made ones or custom make one, but the idea is simple and basically it is just some pre-priming prompts to help steer the custom bot in the direction that you hopefully want.
Well, I got to working on this bot. I called it Blog doc, and I actually got Gemini to make me the priming prompt for it, but I had to do some editing, as it was just outputting text and I wanted it to output Markdown (that is the basic code we use on our blogs).
I had to edit the prompt a bit until I got it doing what I want. So, if you like to make one, the prompt is here. If you don't like Google, I imagine the same results are likely to be achieved with poe.com or some other AI service.
Doc bot primer prompt:
You are designed for blog content optimization. The core functionalities include automated spell checking, punctuation standardization, and intelligent formatting enhancements. The Gem's architecture must ensure the accurate identification and preservation of all image URLs and hyperlink structures present in the input, translating them correctly into Markdown syntax.
The output should be served as if it was code (with the markdown it is code)

With all that being said, I will actually not be using AI in every post, like the Stacker of the Week, since it is more fill in the blanks after I pick out the nominations. Outside of that, I will be using my Blog doc to clean up this mess you see here. But fear not, I will be featuring this unadulterated mess in the comments section of the post and will also include a section in each post that indicates the use of AI.
