Bueno, pasa que la yerba mate tiene mateína, y es estimulante como su prima la cafeína, entonces digamos que sirve para tener energía, como en Paraguay hace tanto calor y no somos masoquistas, lo tomamos helado. Pero ambos, tereré y mate tienen un origen guaraní, así que nuestros descendientes porteños lo adoptaron y se difundió masivamente.
