When our Lord Jesus Christ came into world, He came to teach us the ways of God. He came to teach us the way to salvation. To do that, he had to teach us His doctrines. Those doctrines of Jesus Christ carry the commandments of God. For Our Lord and Savior to fulfill His purpose, he called out men which he taught them His doctrines. These men were the same ones whom He sent to teach the whole world these doctrines.
We are the disciples of Jesus Christ because we have accepted the doctrines. We believe in His Word and are willing to obey His teachings. This is the what makes us his disciples. We are the followers of Jesus Christ. We are those who believe in Jesus Christ. We are his followers.
As the followers of Jesus Christ, we must obey His doctrines. We cannot deny His doctrines and then think that we would be acceptable before God. Let us be doers of the doctrines of Jesus Christ so that we can prove ourselves as his true disciples.
