Ah, the joys of a week filled with good weather! Unfortunately, that also means sitting inside during office hours, staring longingly out the window while your drone sits there, whispering, "Take me outside, you coward."
Now, my Wednesday office is stuck in a No-Fly Zone (thanks, regulations!), but Tuesdays? Tuesdays are fair game. So, during my lunch break, I grabbed the Mini 3 Pro and went for a quick flight. No time to hit the more scenic locations thanks to extended meetings™ (corporate life strikes again), but I still found an interesting spot: a railway junction where two sets of train tracks meet, one over and one under a bridge. And, I even already found a next possible spot nearby for the next time!
Train Tracks from the Sky: Aerial Geometry at Its Finest
Maybe it’s just me, but there’s something fascinating about railways from above. The symmetry, the converging lines, the sense of movement frozen in time, it just looks good. And let’s be real, I love trains. I love drones. So, this? A perfect combo.

- Always keep a drone in your bag. You never know when that 30-minute window of freedom will appear.
- Train tracks + bridges = underrated drone shots. Seriously, the way they intersect and create patterns is pure geometry magic.
- Lunchtime flights are great stress relief. Instead of scrolling emails and pretending to be productive, go get some fresh air and drone time.
Would I have preferred a vast landscape or a mountain range? Sure. But did I still enjoy this quick urban-industrial shoot? Absolutely.
