The weather in Corralejo today was very good. Sunny, clear skies, and about 22°C.
For our first whole day, we decided to take a walk along the coast path from our hotel to the harbour, which included the whole of the promenade.
The first view that we had of the sea was similar to the picture above. Lobos Island can be seen in the centre of the picture. To the left and in the distance is Lanzarote, another of the Canary Islands.
Our coast walk initially took us along a rough rocky and sandy path, which is very walkable and level. The path runs just behind the rocky and rugged shoreline.
As we rounded the headland, we could see the harbour in the distance where ferries come and go between Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.
At last, we reached the promenade, where there are many bars and restaurants. A very welcome sight indeed! 😅🍺.
The harbour is impressive, with many boats of various sizes. This walk was a great way to get to know your way around a new place.
Tomorrow is another day for more adventures.
