……..apple blossom petals! We’ve got this old apple tree in our front yard that is in bloom, and when I went outside, it looks like it kind of snowed. Since snow isn’t possible, it’s raining the petals instead.
This particular tree is a golden delicious apple tree and honestly, the apples aren’t very good nor do they last long. What kind of concerns me a bit is that usually when it blooms, the tree literally buzzes from all of the bees busily pollinating! No buzz today; not a bee 🐝 to be found, actually. Maybe it’s the weather as rain was going to be here by the afternoon, but nonetheless, I have to wonder. 🧐
I didn’t have anywhere planned to go, so I stayed home, mostly doing some things around the house; some online stuff and organizing a workbook for May for THM. It was when I went looking for the Amazon order today that I noticed some beautiful aspects of nature in my front yard.
A beautiful Dwarf Alberta Spruce that’s not so small anymore! It stands well over 10’ tall!
A weeping White Pine with the new……
…..and the old.
A lovely red rhododendron….
….and the brilliant yellow-orange of an azalea!
That Dwarf Alberta Spruce? Well, it’s covered in new growth, so soft to the touch! It makes you want to pet it!
It has some of the apple blossom petals adorning its branches!
