I did a bit of a longer run to the far side of the nature reserve. It was good to mix it up a bit and try something different. The wallabies in this area looked surprised to see me.
There was plenty of water in the creek, and it was still moving pretty fast.
Luckily, I wore my trail running shoes with plenty of grip for the wet and muddy sections.
It is a mixture of single-track and maintained fire trails.
One of the creek bridges must have been damaged with all the extra rain from the cyclone, but I was able to get across with getting wet.
The ward 10B trail is tight and tricky for the mountain bikers, and at one point, you can see the hospital.
Parts of the creek looked pretty clogged up it would take much more to form some sort of a dam.
The final creek crossing had been repaired and upgraded over the summer wet season and came through the recent cyclone unscathed. It should take much more of this blue sky weather to dry it all out and get things back to normal.
