Three Tune Tuesday #190 .:. Klezmer & Balkanbeat music

I have a large folder at my HD entitled 'klezmer+balkan beats' - this sort of music is forever in my veins. There are a lot of bands acting in this field (I did not explore them all, stopped after I discovered some faves which is enough for me). Among them are: Boban Markovic Orkestar, Fanfare Ciocarlia, Emir Kusturica, Boom Pam, Bester Quartet. This is apparently what the genre looks like:

No way I can fit most tracks of the genre I admire, in one #threetunestuesday post. I just blindly selected three tracks that I hope you enjoy (and get acquainted with the artists).

Boom Pam - Let Me Touch

A great klezmer band from Israel, from 2000-es. They were extremely dangerous and flammable in the days of their early career. One of the bands I'd extremely love to see live... but they never toured in Russia.

Kusturica & No Smoking Orchestra - Mahalageasca

Speaking about Balkan beats, one could not ignore the person of Emir Kusturica, who is a huuuuuge man in this musical scene. This certain tune, I believe to be a traditional song - but Kusturica created a brilliant arrangement for it. Unofficial video (cut up from some old movie) is highly enjoyable thing which I always re-watch when I want to cheer myself up. I hope that it will bring you a lot of joy too. (Life is full of suffering... you need to compensate for it with something)

I prefer remix to original version. When you hear the very 1st sounds, your legs automatically start shaking and drag you to the dance floor!

In my opinion these are a rare exception to the overall rule 'They don't do it like that anymore! Lucky we.
