In this space I will be giving away STARBITS, sharing my experience with a song, telling how I discovered it, and providing interesting information about it. Then I will include several tables with statistics of the Rising Star game.

After I finished going through the hundred songs provided by Spotify that I listened to the most in the last year, I have thought of adding songs of my choice from my "Like" list that has more than 1000 songs. The last song I talked about in my last post was: Nuevos Trapos: Charly Garcia.

My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is Dont Push Me of the artist 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks and Eminem.

Since I was a teenager, I was always a big fan of old school American hip-hop. I remember growing up listening to artists like Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube and Eminem. My first experience with 50 Cent was about seven years ago, when one of my computers got hacked and started opening random pages, one of which was the video for 50 Cent's In Da Club, one of his first hits.

Two years ago, I became even more fanatic of the Hip-Hop genre, where I got to know in depth artists like Dr Dre, Nas, Eazy-E, Ice Cube and 50 Cent. I have been very aware of the history of my favorite artist Dr Dre, who was quite instrumental in propelling Eminem's career. Both were also key to 50 Cent's success, as they produced his first album Get Rich or Die Trying, one of the best albums in hip-hop history.

Curtis James Jackson III (50 Cent) was born in 1975 in New York. During his adolescence, he was involved in drug trafficking to make a living. However, in the 90's, he decided to move away from drug trafficking to focus on music.

The first album he worked on was Power of the Dollar, but he was unable to release it because the label dropped him after he was shot nine times. His music reached the ears of Eminem, who was surprised and signed him with Dr Dre for Shady Records, where he worked on his official debut album Get Rich or Die Tryin.

Dont Push Me is part of 50 Cent's debut album Get Rich or Die Tryin, which featured Lloyd Banks and legendary rapper Eminem. The album sold more than 12 million copies worldwide.
