My entry to Qurator Photo Quest: Family

Last summer was the last year that the stray cat my mother and I take care of had offspring. Because we decided, that it was time to spay her, due to the fact that with each delivery of her health we saw that she was getting worse and there were too many stray cats in the village. Catalina and the male cat from her previous litter were enough.
The only time we saw her kitten was the day I took these pictures of her in August. The kitten was very hungry because the cat was not producing much milk anymore. The kitten was looking and looking for his mother's tits. She gave him affection in the form of licks.
Due to the kitten's insistence on suckling at her breast and seeing that Catalina must not have much milk for her calf, I decided to give her some cow's milk. I decided to give her some cow's milk. I know it's not the best food but it's what I had at hand.
Although initially the kitten stayed hidden at the bottom of the pallet while his big brother and his mother were on top of it, I decided to give him some cow's milk.
It was only a matter of time before the kitten gained confidence, even when I was present. Or rather, his hunger didn't make him hesitate to pounce on the milk. I was delighted to see him eating, and from the mother's pose in the photo I think she was also pleased with my choice.
Such was the kitten's confidence that it was easy for me to approach him and carefully grab him to bring him to my chest and immortalize those tender eyes looking at the camera.
A few days later, I took this kitten to the animal shelter so that they could look for an adoptive home in the hope that he could have a good future as a pet cat with good owners.
