What a weird ride. I don't really know what to make of the ending or what to make of this one in general. I never understood what the reason for Yong-hye's behavior was. Was it really just a "dream" or was it trauma/mental illness? I kinda wish the dream aspect had been explored a little more because we didn't exactly get much aside from "I had a dream" and then visions of blood. There should have been a bigger explanation since her behavior changed so drastically and it's literally the entire plot. Instead, we're just left wondering if she's insane or not. We don't even know if she dies at the end. Fair enough if you're a fan of open endings, but I'm not lol.
Every man in this story is fucking awful and abusive. I mentioned this before, but I tend not to enjoy Southeast Asian books because I am sooo tired of these sexist views and constant comments on other people's bodies. It was a plot point in this book, but it's literally been the case in every book I've read and it's horrible.
Overall, I don't think I enjoyed this.
