Foreword
Good day everyone! Would like to do a quick update on my Hive Saving Goal and its progress. It does seem like there is quite a bit of ruffling going around in the hive community with regards to curation, while things are ongoing, key is still to focus on growing and hopefully when the dust settles, a better resolution will come and people can still come together and support one another rather than having a divided camp which is not beneficial for the blockchain right now especially in the bear market. Market forces might cause things to look a little gloomy, but savings needs discipline and in times like this, there is no better time for us to work harder on the savings.
2025 Goal Progress Check
Primary Goal: Reaching 18k HP by 31st December 2025
Secondary Goal: Stretch primary goal and push towards 20k HP by 31st December 2025

My gosh, the delta to goal still looks really huge and definitely more has to be done to ramp up my saving efforts. And with the bearish market, there should be some opportunities that can arise to allow me to gather more HP and build up the HP base.
On the delta to primary goal, there is about 8 months to go to get there. I am starting to get a little worried as I will need to have a steady growth in HP in order to be on track for this. A rough 700 HP is needed each month in order for me to push towards the goal and definitely this is no easy feat. I can only be a little more proactive in terms of working on both active and passive gathering of HP.
On delta to secondary goal, I guess it is looking more and more tough to reach there with the primary goal already a daunting task. But nevertheless, I am not giving up as every HP gain is a HP built and it will help me improve my HP gathering rate through curation etc. So the key will have to be focus and stop fooling around.
Enablers for Goal
There are a couple of things that have worked well for me in 2024 and I know these are key enablers for my goal in 2025. Let's go through them 1 by 1.
Blogging on Hive Blockchain
This has always been the biggest source of HP growth since I embark on this journey. I do recognize that there is a huge debate on curation, but the key will always be, focus on delivering good content and with sufficient visibility, votes by the curators will come because it is good content. So I will continue to work on my blogging and share good content with the community.
Layer 2 Token Management
While blogging continue, it is not just hive that we gained from writing, with the correct use of tags based on their rules and adding them to our blog post, we also gain respective layer 2 coins as well during payout. Most of these coins are tribe tokens and some of them do give additional drips of other layer 2 tokens. Such coins are good to stake to get more of others. Otherwise, selling them and getting other tokens that can help yield passive hive helps boost my Hive savings as well. Here is how my passive hive building tokens that drip hive or swap.hive are doing right now.
Liquid Hive Sources:
Holding EDSI tokens - The amount I have yields me 0.106 HIVE per week.
Holding DAB tokens - The amount I have yields me 0.007 HIVE per day.
Holding SIM tokens - The amount I have yields me 0.021 HIVE per day.
Holding BRO tokens - The amount I have yields me 0.019 HIVE per week.
This totals up to 0.321 HIVE per week a slight decrease HIVE per week from previous month. I guess the unstable economy also played a part to the drop in passive. Right now I will want to channel efforts in SIM tokens from dCity which I will discuss more in the later segment as this is currently the piece that gives the strongest amount of passive.
SWAP.HIVE Sources:
Holding BBH tokens - The amount I have yields me 0.00716 SWAP.HIVE per week.
With active increase in BBH, there is an increase in SWAP.HIVE and I will continue building it.
dCity.
This is where my accumulation in passive hivesees a strong growth slowly but becoming the largest piece. Active managing and seeking ways to improve SIM income in the game will allow me to hold more SIM and subsequently gather more daily liquid hive drip. While the initial setup may take a little while, it is growing stably and I am working toward much more SIM income on a daily basis and growing my SIM holdings. Other layer 2 coins that are of no immediate purpose/need will be looked into and converted to SIM to boost my passive growth.

Rollercoin
This portion is like the bonus of it all, while I have yet to channel any amount into hive, there is a steady growth in RLT (the in-game coin) for purchasing more miners and also LTC which I channel 20% of my mining power into. Still not a very big sum but in time to come with more miners bought, the LTC gained will gather traction and be a potential boost maybe towards my secondary goal.
Closing
Delta to savings goal is huge and I want to see how to close that gap and get back on track. Hopefully the curation discussion will settle down soon, the worry is fewer people on the chain because of all the rumbling. I will continue to focus and work on the savings and also to continue interacting with people on blog post, ecency waves and peak snaps.
