I recognize the personal effort you have dedicated to FreeCompliments. I do not believe that the captain abandoning ship is the best decision. Is FreeCompliments about support or rewards? I believe it is about support, and support can be done by yourself, with the same users as before, right? Why don't you continue publishing and receiving rewards on your personal profile, instead of the community, and use that money for projects that you consider worthwhile? Or create side projects with rewards, if that is the problem, without destabilizing the core of the community? Just questions, I am not passing judgment on either side of the discussion. I just believe that leaving will not solve anything, and that restructuring the project, accepting the criticism that has been imposed, is the best option.

You definitely make a good point, but a big reason for leaving is that I want to remove the mental stressor caused by this incident. The history of losing the community in a different website is not something I'd like to revisit, hence I'm separating completely. It's just a personal decision for my mental well-being.

Indeed, FC is about supporting each other, hence I believe that the community can still be used without the reward system. I just liked how the reward system propelled users to be more active, but it's certainly not mandatory.
