Making Eggs at Easter - for structuring and charging water πŸŒ€

It is Esteban's 10th birthday today and i wanted to create something special for him but really had no idea what to do until i was reminded of the power of egg shapes by this section of a book i am re-reading about structuring water.

Highly recommend checking the book out for yourself here.

Looking online i was able to find some amazing eggs but the price never seemed right.

So i let it go and continued with my garden orientated life...

The following day i planted a tree in an area of the garden i had never before dug into and was surprised to find a huge quantity of clay down there!

Feeling the Universe guiding me i dug out a bucket of clay and looked up how to clean it.

After adding water i was able to clean it using a swimming pool net and then left the slurry to dry a few days in the sun.

After drying a further few days at home the clay was ready to work with and despite having had no experience making these i was able to craft two eggs without much trouble.

Esteban's egg has a Heddeka symbol on it to help charge the water, while Luna's egg features a Tesla coil.

Also worth noting that i added a little powdered basalt into the clay, just to give it that extra kick. Clay is already a paramagnetic material but basalt even more so.

Esteban's egg feels great in my hands.

I put his name and date of creation on the base.

The idea is for them to fill up their eggs with water before bed and drink them in the morning, though it is said that only 2-3h is needed to fully 'charge' the water.

In their current form they will absorb water and would actually make fantastic oyas to bury in the garden (feeding the energised water slowly to the plants, thereby assisting growth), but as my end goal for these is to store water without absorption i must glaze them in a kiln at a temperature of over 1000Β°C.

I have been watching a man called Primitive Technology on YT for years and remembered seeing him build a mud kiln here.

So this is what i will do.

Just need to find the right spot in the garden which continues to expand and delight.

I learned this morning that one can make pottery glaze from wood ash, so this entire project will be achieved with zero budget.

Next mission is to make a family sized egg, big enough to charge our daily water.

Something like this one.

As long as i make the kiln big enough this should be easily achievable.

So there you have it!

I have a zillion other things to tell you about but will have to leave it for now as Esteban will wake soon and our day of fun will begin.

Love & Light everyone 🌱

Hey this is a cool idea!
Apart from that they look really cool, the water idea is also sweet

Did you put some kind of coating on the inside that the water doesnt come in there again to 'moist' the clay?

Many thanks for the enthusiastic message.

I guess i didn't make it clear but the eggs are not yet finished.

Next step is to build a kiln in the garden and bake them super hot with a home-made glaze. Only after this is done will they hold water without absorbing it.

Will post an update once it's done...

This is cool, I like those clay eggs you made but my question is did you add anything to the base before molding the clay on it? Because I am wondering if the clay wouldn't absorb the water when it is filled up
Although I know clay is muddy and takes a little while when hardened to easily absorb water.

Happy birthday to Esteban!
The kids are adorable, love their smiles

As mentioned in the post they will indeed absorb water in their current form so i must bake them in a kiln next and also add a glaze which will give them a shiny finished look. Then they will hold water just fine.

Thanks for the birthday wishes!

Okay.
I didn't quite understand the context, it makes more sense now

It's a very cool idea, plus you've done a wonderful job making this egg 😍

Thanks for the compliment! I feel as if i am just getting warmed up and look forward to creating more useful stuff...

Greetings @samstonehill, Happy 10th birthday to Esteban πŸŽ‚, that gift is perfect, he's going to be very happy. I would love to have a kiln to make craftsπŸ˜πŸ‘.

Many thanks for Esteban's birthday wishes. He's been having a really great holiday. Yes, having a kiln is the dream! I am determined to make one but the only problem is that here in our region of France it is illegal to make fires outside in the summer! Which means i will just have to do it at night ;)
