Good evening ☕🍄
This is my contribution for #fungifriday organized by @ewkaw
Today I want to show you some beautiful mushrooms that I found while walking around the garden around my house, these mushrooms grow on the surface of rotten wood lying among the grass, when I first saw them I thought they weren't mushrooms because they grew in large numbers and in a row, but where they grew it was very difficult to observe them up close, so I thought it would be easier to observe them if I lifted the piece of wood and as a result some of the mushrooms broke and shattered because these mushrooms are very fragile.
After doing a search on inaturalist I found the appropriate name for this mushroom species is "Coprinellus micaceus", this mushroom belongs to the psathyrellacea family and is known by the common name mica cap, the identification of this species is very interesting because it involves various morphological characteristics and distinctive habitats.
Although this mushroom is known as one of the mushroom species that is very easy to find, especially in areas rich in organic materials during the rainy season, this is actually the first time I have found this mushroom growing in my family's garden. Usually, our family's garden is most often filled with mushrooms such as lingzhi, fan mushrooms, oyster mushrooms, straw mushrooms and several other mushroom species. However, this mushroom species is an interesting finding because it is the first time I have found it in my garden. From the results of temporary observations, there are several parts that are the attraction of this mushroom, such as the mushroom cap, the length of the stem and the color of the mushroom.
If viewed from a morphological perspective, where the Coprinellus micaceus mushroom has a bell-shaped or oval cap when young and widens as it grows, the cap has a dark brown color on the top of the mushroom and a solid black color under the mushroom cap, the diameter of the cap I estimate is between 2-5 cm, this is the same as other mushrooms in the coprinoid group, this mushroom also experiences autosilis, which is a process in which the cap will melt into a black liquid as it ages.
the slender mushroom stems stand straight up, the bright white color adds to the beauty of the mushroom side, but unfortunately some mushroom stems have broken when I moved them, as you can see these mushrooms grow on the surface of the wood in small groups, where these mushrooms are able to grow in a row without disturbing the growth of other mushrooms in their group, this is an amazing and amazing process.
and here are some photos of Coprinellus micaceus mushrooms that I have captured for you 🥰
