Take us on a tour of your mind: Describe and explain one fear, one hope, one ambition, one failure, one love and one hate.
I realise I always like to attempt these self reflection posts, lots to unpack in this one, and I spent some time thinking of the answers too! Let's go!
Fear
One fear I have is to be diagnosed with a major illness. I am still in my 30s, even though I am still relatively young, life sometimes can be unpredictable. As much as we can do whatever we can to stay healthy, there is still no guarantee. I have had a few minor health scares in the recent years, but thankfully, nothing has been major. So let's hope things stay this way.
Hope
Hmm, this is a tricky one because I think I am a pretty contented person and I don't have fancy hopes or expectations in life. If it's a "wish", I do wish that everyone around me (and myself included) will be happy everyday and have good health.
Ambition
Again, I think I am not an ambitious person, but from another perspective, I do have my personal life goals and hobbies that I am working on. One example is my hobby of writing and engaging people on Hive. As much as I don't count the dollars and cents most of the time, I do want to give my best and do well to build this account, and it's really no different from most things we do in life. Why embark on something if we don't want to put our heart and soul into it?
Failure
It's hard to pinpoint one major failure in my life, because I tend to see negative events as life lessons, and to pick myself and do better the next time. If I had to pick one, I think I am probably too reclusive. It's probably not a good attribute to have for a human being, and no doubt, this might have affected my opportunities in life, be it in making friends, finding job opportunities, and networking in general. I really just enjoy my own company, weird I know.
Love
It has to be desserts! I have a sweet tooth and most people around me know it! I think desserts are really happy food, which can be eaten both as part of celebrations, or to cheer oneself up when one is feeling down! So versatile right? Haha.
Hate
I am someone who values appreciation a lot. I wouldn't say hate (that's too strong a word), but when people don't appreciate me or others, for the time spent or for the work done, I tend to have a negative impression of these people. It actually happens more often in the workplace, where it is so easy to take people for granted, especially people who are working in the more backend jobs where they ensure everything runs smoothly but don't get the limelight.
Alright that's all I have! Talking about desserts, before I end off, recently I chanced upon this cafe where they had Creme Brulee latte! And I ordered it out of the curiosity, together with a slice of Black Forest Cake. Thought it was kind of interesting to have that crispy layer of caramel on top, but it made it hard to sip the coffee beneath. Good taste wise, but not so good from a practical/functional perspective. Lol.
So thanks for reading and have a good weekend! Let me know if you have comments too!
