Creative Hourglass ⌛️ In Review

in Hive Diyyesterday

Good day, everyone.

We are still on our holidays, and I am enjoying it at home with my parents and siblings.
We finished up a carbonated bottle drink, and it was time to throw the bottle.

But looking at the bottle, something came to my mind.
And I thought of recycling the carbonated drink bottle to something that could make me smile.

I was thinking of creating something useful to I and my siblings.
Then,I came up with the idea of constructing an hourglass.

I and my siblings do a game of timing for fun. Most times, we don't get the accuracy of our count.

So,making this hourglass could help, and it would be fun to do as well.

I looked around for other available materials that I could recycle as well.

These are the materials I used for the hourglass.

  1. Empty plastic bottles (The empty carbonated drink bottles)

  2. Carton

  3. Glue

  4. Sand

  5. Rope

  6. Stick

  7. Straw

  8. Scissors

Procedure

Step 1 : Bring 2 plastic bottles, remove the cover, and cut out the bottom part.

Step 2 : Draw two big circles in a carton, cut it out, and glue each of it in the circle part of the bottle to be used.

Step 3 : Draw a big circle in a carton and cut it.
Make a hole in the circle and keep.

Step 4 : Join the cover part of the bottle together, let the carton with a big hole in the middle be in the middle of the two cover bottles that are joined together.
Use a rope to hold it together and tight it.

Step 4: Measure a straw to the two bottles held together before inserting it inside the two bottles.

Step 5: Add sand to the lower bottom before covering the two upper sides with a carton.

Then two it to the other side.
Our hourglass is ready in review.
