This is my post for #freewriters 2699 prompt the daily grind hosted by @ mariannewest
I feel as if the daily grind has been left behind. My life is so different than it used to be, but I guess that is what is supposed to happen as we age.
I used to look forward to getting up each day and thinking about where I was going to fish. I always thought I would catch, I never left the house thinking it would be a bad day, I loved the daily grind as it was.
But now, here I sit, wondering what I will do to fill the time in another day. I now think about my health and not what I am going to catch today. I am thankful that I like plants, they keep my mind busy, and I have hundreds of them to care for. I manage to stay busy, as long as my back lets me.
My sister is raising her two granddaughters and she commented how tired she stays. I told her there is a reason God made it so women have children when they are young, and when they get our age, they can no longer have them. He knew what He was doing.
Now she has quit her job and says she will go fishing with me. I can run the boat, and she will do the fishing. This sounded like a good plan to me, but there is always a BUT. She says she can not leave until after the girls get on the bus and we need to be in and to her house by the time their bus returns them home. I will see how it goes.....
**I wrote that this morning. Now I will tell how my daily grind went, and it wasn't the normal daily grind it turned out to be my worst nightmare.
It was a normal morning. I have strawberries planted here and the leaves from the avocado tree were covering them plus the dandelions were taking over, so I weeded it.
I have been saving the used litter from Rudy, it is now over 6 months old, so any urine in it has to have washed away by now. It looks like it will make a good mulch around the pants.
But while all good plans, there was a hitch. As I was getting it out of the pot I was keeping it in, I saw a worm. Now I had to go through the entire batch and get all of the worms, some were so tiny I do not know how I saw them. I picked them out because this area does not have the type of soil worms like, and it stays dry.
Yesterday I saved a lizard and today one had this lizard by the chest, you can see the mark it left. I know it is Spring and the hormones are flowing but I can not stand by and watch them kill each other.
I saved the bad news for last. I was happy because I read the report on my MRA and I thought it said I have no blockage. So I was in shock when the doctor's office called today and said I have a blockage and he wants to do an angiogram and put a stint in. I guess I freaked out about the angiogram, I was in tears and told her I would need to think about it. I have had back pain so bad that with a full bladder I had to crawl to the bathroom and have my husband lift me on the seat and sit there crying because the pain was so bad that I could not push to start the pee and I would say the pain I had in my arm from the angiogram was equal or worse than that and was the reason I stopped seeing doctors.
I know I am not a doctor, but can't they write so we can understand what they are saying? I was convinced I had no blockage.
